There are many reasons that make people choose lease purchase agreement. At times people do not have good enough credit ratings to quality for a mortgage so they enter into this agreement. Similarly some people have high hopes that they might be able to purchase the property at the end so they enter into lease purchase agreement.
Lease purchase agreement allows the lessee to purchase the property taken on lease. That saves some amount at the end of lessee when such decision is taken.
